New Content Monday – Healthy Snacks and Cruise Information Session!

Happy Monday!

Spring finally arrived this weekend!
Do you notice how people are just in better moods? It was so nice to see people sitting on their front stoops, cleaning out the garage, washing their cars – trying to take in the vitamin D they’ve been lacking for months. It’s a rebirth as the grass appears and the sun soothes. I just love it! And as Monday roles around, we continue to add new content to the website and all my social media platforms.

We head back into the kitchen this week with Melanie Reid from Balanced Plate Nutrition. Having just done my groceries prior to writing this newsletter I am aware of the stress of choosing the snacks and planning the meals. It’s a weekly daunting task. I often feel the guilt of throwing in the convenient sugar loaded granola bar and prepackaged snacks but Melanie makes some great points and gives us the tools to follow through plus the one-bowl recipe to go with it!

For those who have subscribed to my “Living Your Life w Lianne Laing” podcast you will notice that Episode 10 has been loaded and some of you have already checked it out. Dr. Nathalie Beauchamp talks about her new book “Hack Your Health Habits.”  With twelve sections and 62 chapters we tried to hit on as many topics as we could! Please make sure you are subscribing and liking the videos and podcasts. Your support is incredibly valuable and appreciated! If you haven’t subscribed, the links are below!

Coming up this week is Olympic curler Lisa Weagle. Lisa is a member of Team Homan, who were a top medal contender at this years Winter Olympic Games. It wasn’t the outcome these World Champions would have liked. We talk about the experience and the pressure going in as a medal favorite. We also hit on her love of curling and how mental and physical training became critical when she returned to the sport she loves.

Also, we have a new website for the “Awaken A Better You Wellness Cruise with Lianne and Friends.” There is additional information about the itinerary, cities, Ama Waterways, pricing and the list goes on.

Don’t forget that we have our information session tomorrow, Tuesday April 24that 7:30 pm at Centerpointe Theatre. Tosca Reno is making the trip into town for the event and all the experts minus one will be on hand to answer questions. There will also be representative from AmaWaterways and the Expedia Cruise Ship Centers Ottawa. The event is free. All you need to do is register to get your seat. You can find the info on the website.

Here’s a peak at the video produced by Extension Marketing for the evening!
