Home bound, plus… music, comedy & a tornado…

Sorry for the delay!

First of all, I am sending this now from Toronto after 9 hour flight. My computer died just as I was about to press send- and no adapter plug for the computer. Yikes!

In contrast, I have a quick note to drop in as I catch a flight back home in the early morning from Europe. It has been an overwhelming week with so much to share in the upcoming updates. Most noteworthy, the “Lianne & Friends Awaken A Better You Wellness Cruise” has wrapped and there are so many stories, updates and photos to share.

Furthermore, it can be tricky trying to pack a bag and scientifically figure out how to make it weigh less by moving items around- or swap between suitcases until we find the perfect middle ground. This has been my life.

I made sure to have the “Living Your Life w Lianne Laing” podcast ready to go. A few double tapings over the last few weeks to ensure we had the weekly releases ready to go.

Living your life with Lianne

This week you will meet Rory Gardiner:

I met Rory on set at CTV Morning Live and interviewed him about his country music career. It’s impressive.  He has toured worldwide and recorded songs in Nashville, and even opened up for Kieth Urban. His latest albums are geared for kids.

He’s also a comedian, performing at comedy clubs all over North America and chillin with canadian comics like tom green and mike Mcdonald…

Being a TedX speaker

But the turning point for me asking Rory to come on the podcast was his experience as a TedX speaker talking about humor as a coping mechanism. For my listeners here in Ottawa, we remember last years 6 Tornados hitting down in one powerful storm, people here continue to rebuild their lives and their homes. Rory and his family were one of the families hardest hit, running to safety only to see their home destroyed. What followed was a series of funny videos that went viral as Rory used humour to explain and show the devastation. Ive seen the vidoes- they are hilairious. Despite Rory trying to make a number of punch lines throughout the podcast, we talk about humour as a coping mechanism and how he has learned from the experience what’s really important. The podcast will be released on Thursday as usual

I can’t wait to get back home and hug my kids. Also, I can’t wait to get back to a normal routine, simple clean food and my meditations. I missed my meditations more than I thought.

Thank you once again for your tremendous support. I can’t wait for our next few updates.

Much Love,
Lianne xo
