Change your inner dialogue

SHINE

I learned to change my inner dialogue as well as the language I use with others at my girlfriend Amanda O’Reilly’s “SHINE” event this weekend. Also, I found my wings and some tools to get them to help me fly! First of all, change is scary and unpredictable. We often become our own worst enemies through the process. I admired that the hundred plus woman in the room were vulnerable, honest and open to change.

Here are a few things I jotted down that I wanted to share with you:

Do you always say “Yes” when you really want to say “No”. As a result, you inevitably resent having to do something,  sacrificing your own health and happiness in the process. I know you know what I’m talking about! Try incorporating the word “prefer” into your vocabulary:

Need an example?

I could do the pick up, but I would prefer not too, it would allow me to do ( insert activity).

Do you have ambitious goals that seem so far out of reach that you scare yourself saying them out loud.
For Example:
“I am going lose 30 pounds”
“I want to run a marathon”
“I will be rich and successfull”

Above all, saying them makes you feel foolish and stupid and then you start withdrawing, self sabotaging and living from a place of fear?

Lets try and change the way we talk to ourselves- our inner voice.
“I am the type of person who can lose 30 pounds”
“I am the type of person who could run a marathon”
“I am the type of person who will be rich and successful”

Change the dialogue. We are our own worst enemies!

Ask yourself “What would it take” and go from there 🙂

With that being said, I was joined by a number of amazing experts and Expedia CruiseShip Center ladies at the event. As a result, it got us even more excited for our trip! Consequently, my daily thoughts, especially between 2 and 4 am, consist of weather checks, shipping items, packing items, kids car pools, pre-made meals and the list goes on… Only 17 days to go. If you are joining us on the “Awaken A Better You Wellness Cruise” you will likely have one of these blue packages waiting for you 🙂

Above all, it seems like people are last minute travellers and are still booking in- you can find more information at http://www.signaturecruises.ca
