Bring On 2019!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope the holidays treated you well, and that you survived in one-piece! 😊 Today, for many of us, we return to our normal routines, with the kids back in school, the email inbox piling up and the workload in full swing. You may also be five days into your New Year’s Resolutions – how are you holding up?

Over the break, my family and I had the chance to ski for a few days at Mont Tremblant with our extended family, declutter the kitchen and master bathroom, sleep in, workout and spend New Year’s in Saint-Sauveur with friends. It was a nice mixture of everything!

This update allows me to remind you about the podcast released over the break with Dr. Frank Knoefel from the Bruyère Resesarch Institute and Memory Program. As you settle into 2019 with new resolutions, goals and mindset – keep in mind that a healthy lifestyle is critical for more than just your waistline and heart health. The focus of this episode is on our brain health and memory. Dementia has been recognized by the World Health Organization as a public health priority. It has significant social, medical and economic implications with total costs estimated to be over $604 billion US. We tackle critical factors which lead to dementia. Dr. Knoefel, a physician trained in the care of elderly patients also has extensive experience in geriatric rehabilitation. He shares some amazing stories, research and advancements in the work that is being done.

I am also really looking forward to this week’s release with adventurer, global speaker, ultra marathoner and founder of Impossible2Possible, Ray Zahab. Once a pack a day smoker, Ray has set out on expeditions crossing both the Sahara Desert and the South Pole by foot. In 2015, Canadian Geographic recognized Ray as one of Canada’s Top Explorers. He has 17 expeditions behind him, traversing the most difficult and dangerous terrains on the planet. I was completely fascinated throughout our entire podcast and left the studio feeling inspired, motivated and recharged. Ray is magnetic and you will feel it the moment you press play!

Next Monday I will be in Arizona following up on the “Campfire Effect” entrepreneurial course I have been taking. I have spent some time over the last few months trying to narrow my focus and focus in on the direction I am taking.

As you can probably tell, I’m loving being in the podcast studio and bringing you stories of people who I hope inspire you. I am hoping to find some clarity near the desert 😊

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to the new year, full of possibility, hope and above all, love.

Much Love,
Lianne xo
